It is one of MECA's primary responsibilities to track regulations and the trends
in the industry to protect your business and your right to work. We do this by
employing a Lobbyist to watch over the Electrical Industry and how it is being
affected at the State House Level.
The electrical trade is quite often being manipulated and pulled apart in
several directions. The explosion of telecommunications/data com and the pending
regulations regarding apprenticeship are creating a whole new ball game for
contractors.
MECA members sit on the Board of Examiners of Electricians, Board of Fire
Prevention Regulation, Mass Code Advisory Committee and the Fire Protection/Fire
Prevention Advisory Committee. MECA has its hand on the pulse of the industry.
